Adrenaline- A hormone produced by the adrenal gland in the body of many animals. When it is produced in the body it stimulates the heart-rate, dilates blood vessels and air passages, and has a number of more minor effects. Adrenaline is naturally produced in high-stress or physically exhilarating situations.
Cortisol- It is usually referred to as the "stress hormone" as it is involved in response to stress and Anxiety. It increases blood pressure and blood sugar, and reduces immune responses.
Chronic Stress- Stress that lasts a long time or occurs frequently.
Depression- Everyone has felt depressed. Yet the sadness and other symptoms of depression that are intense and last for long periods of time, can signal clinical depression or major depression, a serious medical illness that needs professional care.
Relaxation- A process or state with the aim of recreation through leisure activities or idling and the opposite of stress or tension.
Stress- Something that causes a physical or emotional change or a change in your environment that requires you to adjust or respond.
Stressors- Anything that make you feel stressed are called "stressors."
Support Groups- A group made up of members with various types of help, usually nonprofessional and nonmaterial, for a particular shared, usually burdensome, characteristic.
Tension- A biological term which refers to the consequences or the failure of a human or animal body to respond appropriately to emotional or physical threats to the organism, whether actual or imagined.
